Scholarships & Financial Aid

Title

This Scholarship shall be called the “Talent Hunt Scholarship for CIIT Virtual Campus".

Commencement

These Regulations shall come into force with effect from SPRING 2016 semester. Talent Hunt Scholarship will be applicable only on Tuition fee as per policy.

Application

These regulations shall apply to regular students of the COMSATS, Institute of Information Technology, Virtual Campus registered for all of its offered degree programs as per policy.

Aims and Objectives

The institute intends to provide scholarships to talented but deserving students to provide them an opportunity to raise the qualification for their bright future.

Under the initiative to offer Talent Hunt Scholarships, CIIT VC supports individuals who are determined to focus to raise their education through a high ranked University under an affordable and flexible (non-regular) environment.

Merit based Talent Hunt Scholarships
  1. Talent Hunt Scholarship shall comprise partial remission of the applicable tuition fee only as per the policy.
    # Program Remission
    1 Undergraduate Programs (BSCS, BSSE, BSBA) Rs. 7000
    2 Master Programs (BBS, EMBA, MCS, MPA, MAENG, MMTH) Rs. 5000
    3 Graduate Programs (RBA, RBF & RPM) Rs. 6000
    Note: Scholarship amount is applicable only on Tuition Fee
    Application

    These regulations shall apply to regular students of the COMSATS, Institute of Information Technology, Virtual Campus registered for all of its offered degree programs as per policy.

    1. Students shall have to pay initial dues (1st Fee Installment) as per challan issued for provisional admission and for entitlement in Talent Hunt Scholarship for SP16.
    2. Applicant applying after display of merit list for scholarship will not be considered for the scholarship.
    3. Student availing the scholarship will not be entitled for any other CIIT VC scholarship as per the policy.
  2. Scholarships shall be valid only for minimum number of semesters as per degree requirements i.e
    Program Minimum Duration
    Undergraduate Programs (BS) Eight semesters
    Master Programs (Master) Four semesters
    MS programs (MBA1.5, PM, B&F) Four semesters
  3. Scholarships criteria::
    # Program Criteria
    1 BSCS, BSSE, BSBA, BBS, EMBA, MCS, MPA, MAENG, MMTH Minimum 60% marks or 2.50/4.00 CGPA in last and required degree
    2 RBA, RBF & RPM Minimum 70% marks or 3.0/4.00 CGPA in last and required degree
    In case of clash between two or more applicants, higher marks in second last degree(s) shall be considered to award scholarship accordingly.
  4. Terms and Conditions:
  1. Student will have to obtain minimum 2.70 / 4.00 CGPA for all Undergraduate and 3.30 / 4.00 CGPA for all Graduate programs
  2. Student will not be allowed to attain semester freeze / withdrawn option at any stage during the scholarship.
  3. Assistance shall also be discontinued if any beneficiary found liable towards Institute's policies and regulations.
  4. Student will not be re-entitled for scholarship once terminated under any circumstances.
General
  1. Amount and number of scholarships may be increased / decreased / modified if deemed necessary as and when required.
  2. The decisions of the Management Committee will be deemed to be final.
  3. These rules may be added to or modified as required from time to time.
